Types of Astrology

Few related systems or branches of astrology are:

1. Nadi Astrology:
   A unique form of Hindu astrology originating in South India, particularly Tamil Nadu. It is based on ancient palm leaf manuscripts written by sages, which are said to contain the life details of individuals. Nadi readers use thumb impressions (usually the right thumb for males and the left for females) to locate the corresponding leaf that describes a person's past, present, and future.

2. Vedic Astrology (Jyotish):
   The broader system of astrology from which Nadi Astrology originates. Vedic astrology focuses on the positions of planets and stars at the time of birth and uses the sidereal zodiac. It includes predictive techniques, remedies, and spiritual insights.

3. Prasna Astrology (Horary Astrology):
   A branch of Vedic astrology where predictions are made based on the exact time a question is asked. It is similar to Nadi Astrology in its focus on specific life events and answers to queries.

4. KP Astrology (Krishnamurti Paddhati):
   A simplified and precise system of Vedic astrology developed by Indian astrologer Krishnamurti. It uses sub-divisions of zodiac signs called "cusps" to make accurate predictions.

5. Western Horary Astrology:
   Similar to Prasna Astrology, this system answers specific questions based on the time the question is posed. It is part of Western astrology traditions.

6. Tantric Astrology:
   A lesser-known branch that combines Vedic astrology with Tantric practices. It focuses on spiritual growth, karmic patterns, and remedies like mantras and rituals.

7. Chinese Astrology:
   While different from Nadi Astrology, Chinese astrology also uses a person's birth details (year, month, day, and hour) to create a detailed life chart. It incorporates elements like the Chinese zodiac and the Five Elements (Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, Water).
